Question for consideration : What does a general tidy up mean?

Have you ever wondered what sort of occupation you could have where you could talk all day, control someones else’s life and social life, where you can handle dangerous if not lethal equipment, and get paid a great hourly rate for the privilege. No I’m not talking about doctors or physics’ playing with quantum physics or partial accelerators but the humble hairdresser. Today after 6 weeks of consideration, soul-searching, surveying of friends and family I decided to go to the hairdressers. Until that very last moment when I crossed over the threshold I still could not decided what to have done. Should I to the delight of my mother return to the shorter haircut which is normal, easily managed and smart or stay with the highly temperamental longer hair with morning afro. Finally a comment said to me by two separate people came to mind ‘Its very Darcy like Darrel’, now I’ve personally never watched Pride and Predigest but I’ve been told that this is a good comment. So upon crossing that imaginary threshold the one thought on my mind is “keep the cut!”. The lady was very nice with all the pleasantries you expect from our 20 min meeting. Upon asking what I wanted done I replied, ‘just a general tidy up please’ she agreed and the race was on. After 5 mins she had completed transverse my head and taken of half an inch of growth and thinned it out a little. It looked good I thought. After 10 mins she had completed the back and sides. WOW I thought she is fast and can cut well, I was pleased with the look. But martial artist with scissors was not finished yet. She completely went over my head again and this time took another inch off. I thought she knew what she was doing. After 20 mins she had finished and I find that my hair length had no been tidied up BUT completely changed to a sort hairstyle. So to all my friends, been prepared because the Darcy curls and multi-inch hair has been left, rotting like a corpse on a battle field, on the hairdressers floor.
