Histroy Boys
Every now and again the trepid explorer ‘Fox’ will venture out from his urban living to explore the great unknown. In a recent venture Fox, with his companion Helen, ventured to the far east. This perilous mission involved multiple means of transport, but after much hassle and fear arrived at his destination. Sixfields!
Yes, on a calm cool night me and my good chum Helen went to the 2nd class cinema at Sixfields. Out of preference I would of chosen Vue, with its better quality chairs and the ergonomic design, which is vastly superior to Cineworld or whatever it is called now.
Anyway, we went to watch a film. History boys, which started off as a Broadway/stage production. This film though well known has now hit the big screen and is receiving a mixed review. It is suppose to show what teaching use to be like. But I think the underlining theme was to show the abuse of power. Though this film is great, the subject of the film mixed with humour makes it ok BUT if a teacher was to do what happened in the film we would be wanting blood and punishment. But please, when you go watch this fantastic British film. Go watch it for its humour, good acting and tremendous twists and not for the abuse of power a teacher has over children.
