Dissertation

One of the most important times in a university students life is when they ask you to start thinking about you dissertation title. This one assignment holds a good percentage of your final grade level. Considering we have another year to go yet they suggest you start thinking about and reading towards you dissertation.

I’ve come up with 8 different ideas so far. A couple were blown out the water straight away as I was told that I was not writing for a ‘Masters Degree’. One of the ideas I’ve had for the last month or two was writing about teaching evolution in primary school. Although this is a huge subject it may be possible. But again early last week I decided against this title too as well in favour for my third choice of physical disabilities and science practical’s. In theory I was interested in the importance of practical’s in science and do children with physical problems (like those that cant control limb movements) have a disadvantage because they may not be able to carry out the experiments that often need fine motor controls. Does this effect their education? Or even their enjoyment of science? Love to know what some people think about this. Oh, and I’m really hoping I don’t manage to offend people!
