A step closer to understanding and curing Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s had touched the heart of the world. Everyone has seen or heard of a case of this chronic condition. And for many it’s a soul destroying journey to watch someone they know go through it. The only way to treat this problem is by early diagnoses, it will not cure you off Alzheimer’s but it will help slow down its process. So you can see the earlier the diagnoses of someone the earlier they can start being treated.

In the autopsy Alzheimer patients they have always noticed a plaque substance [amyloid] found in the brain. Well scientists have now found a way to test for this substance. Its uses a new technique using MRI technology. By using in conjunction with this new MIR tenuous they use a tracer that attached to the plaque that is detectable by the MRI.

This process is still in the testing stage, but it will allow them to watch the progress of the disease in GM mice and allow them to test new drugs easier. But one question remains, is this build of plague on the brain he cause or a symptom. Only time will tell but I hope there research bears fruit soon.

This is a subject close to a lot of peoples hearts, true.
Scientists have claimed that there are many ways of preventing the onset of Alzheimers; eating healthy, keeping fit and keeping your mind active.
But how can they know the prevention if they dont even know the cause?
